PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE:
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held during the regular scheduled meeting of the Housing Authority of The City of Statesboro, GA Board of Commissioners, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., for comments on the following items:
Statesboro Housing Authority’s Capital Fund Five-Year Action Plan (2026-2030);
NEW Capital Fund Five-Year Action Plan 2025-2029; and
Revisions to the SHA Five-Year Plan (2025 – 2029) and 2026 Annual Plan Update.

HOLIDAY CLOSING

The Housing Authority of the City of Statesboro, GA main office will be close for the following holidays:

Thanksgiving from Wednesday, November 26, 2025, through Friday, November 28. 2025. The office will reopen on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 8:00 A.M.

Christmas from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, December 26, 2025. The office will reopen on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 8:00 A.M.

New Year’s Day from Thursday, January 1, 2026, through Friday, January 2, 2026. The office will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8:00 A.M.

BOARD MEETING:

The Housing Authority of the City of Statesboro, GA Board of Commissioners meeting for Thursday, November 13, 2025, has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be Thursday, January 8, 2026. The meeting will be held at the SHA main office:  33 Cone Homes (HWY. 80), Statesboro, GA 30458 at 6:00 PM.

The Housing Authority of the City of Statesboro is a public housing agency located in Statesboro, Georgia. We provide housing to eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities within Statesboro. To keep rent low, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidizes based on individual incomes.

Eligibility is determined on annual gross income, family composition, and U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status. To determine income eligibility, we use standards that are set each year by HUD and are unique to our area based on family size.
